Highlights include:

• A Forms Designer that allows creation of electronic "Smart Forms".
• A Forms2Base Pro client for completing forms with handwriting recognition, signature capture, annotated digital photos, automated calculations, barcode data entry, drop down lists, and a host of additional capabilities.
• Capability to publish forms and pre-populated form data to the field and for users to transmit completed form data back to the home office.

Core Features:

• Use of Existing Forms - field users do not have to be retrained and are instantly productive.
• Embedded Communications - field users can simply fill out the form and hit the "Send" icon on the Tablet. The background communications processor takes care of sending the form to the server.
• Digital Camera - photos can be added to forms with 'point and tap' ease of use.
• Integration - With Forms2Base clients can migrate to a fully automated process for field data collection and processing. Form data can be communicated as an attachment to an email, as data to an FTP site or as standard XML via web service all without the user managing the communications.

Forms2Base Designer

The Forms Designer tool allows the client to create electronic versions of paper forms in order to take full advantage of the handwriting recognition capability of the Tablets. Forms are designed by bringing an electronic image of any existing paper form into the Forms Designer software running on any desktop computer, and then adding characteristics for each field.

This includes fields for printed text, numeric input, alpha-numeric input, and calculated fields. Forms Designer includes form publishing functionality that allows the electronic forms to be pushed out to the Tablet PCs, via the Field2Base server. Users who have basic computer skills with MS Word and MS Excel can easily use Forms Designer to turn their paper forms into "smart forms" that take full advantage of the handwriting recognition capability of the Tablets.

Forms2Base client

The Forms2Base client allows field users to complete digital versions of their current paper based forms using the Tablet PC and digital pen to mimic their current pen to pad process.

Completed forms can then be communicated to the home office for processing. The completed form may be transmitted wirelessly to desktop PCs as an email attachment or passed to enterprise back-end systems for automated data entry using an industry standard XML interface.
